Taking a break from Amiga’s for the day I did a recap on thisAppleCD SC Plus CD ROM board. Yup, I can do other systems too!
I did some work over the last couple days on this nice Amiga 4000T for Steve K. It was in fine shape but needed a recap. All of the daughter modules and the mainboard are now complete and working like new. I also replaced the caps on the A3640 he included and fixed the three installed backwards from the factory these all suffer from.
I wanted to give everyone with gear here at my place a friendly reminder that life happens and my real full time job can get it the way as I often warn. I will be leaving for a trip out on the East Coast and not return until Jan 19th. Anything in progress will sadly be put on hold until I get back. My apology for the delay, but I promise it will be worth the wait.
Many of you may have read about the AmyITS, an A500 clone of sorts. Its a fantastic semi public project that I am happy to be a part of now. Over the next couple of weekends once I return from my vacation in January I will be posting the build progress of this beautiful board here! For now, here is the first box of parts and the board itself.
If you would like to learn more about this project you can take a look at the project page here: http://www.amy-itx.com/
This Amiga 1200 came in after the owner plugged in a Subway clock port USB adapter backwords. Several traces we’re severely burned up. I was able to save this one and it’s working better than ever now after a full recap as well.
